HISTORY OF LEED

In April 1993, Rick Fedrizzi, David Gottfried, and Mike Italiano gathered representatives from 60 companies and several non-profit organizations at the American Institute of Architects to discuss environmental protection issues in the construction industry.

This meeting sparked the idea of creating an open and balanced coalition encompassing the entire construction industry.
